There were also some spectacular talks by the other probabilitistic programming languages in Julia. Chad Scherrer (who is pretty great) covered Soss.jl, which has a pretty slick syntax and what I would consider an admirable user interface. Gen.jl had a remarkable presentation from Alex Lew (who is also pretty great) that has a really fascinating perspective on inference. Will Tebbut’s talk on Gaussian processes was really nice, considering I hand’t looked to closely at his Stheno.jl project before. I also learned about GPs! Cool stuff. Lastly we had a talk on switching Kalman filters from Cédric St-Jean-Leblanc.
